Career Pursuit

We are up on the second floor of Laxmi Sadan. It is right there on Jangali Maharaj Road, or JM Road as everyone calls it. Finding us can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking for the sign among all the others. The stairs are quite steep, and I always feel it in my knees by the end of the week. Career Pursuit is just a few rooms with some desks and computers. It is usually pretty busy because of where we are located. There are always students walking around outside, going to the cafes or the parks nearby. The office gets a lot of noise from the main road, but you get used to it after a while. I have been sitting at the same desk for years now. The fan above me makes a clicking sound, but it works fine so I leave it alone. We have a lot of files stacked up in the corners. It is not a polished corporate office. It is just a place where we try to help people figure out what to do with their jobs or studies. Sometimes people come in looking very stressed out. I usually offer them a glass of water from the cooler. The carpet is a bit worn out in the hallway where people walk the most. JM Road is a great place to be, even if the parking is a total nightmare. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day.
