BUILDINGBASICS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED is based over at 2066, Sadashiv Peth. It’s an old neighborhood, and we like being part of it. Being a one-person company means things are pretty straightforward around here. I handle most of the day-to-day stuff myself, from taking calls to checking on the work. The office isn't anything special, just a place to keep the books and meet with people when needed. Sadashiv Peth has its own rhythm, and we fit right into that. Usually, the day starts early with a lot of coffee. Construction and building basics are what I know best. There is always something to fix or a new project starting up somewhere nearby. I spend a lot of time on the road, going from one spot to another to make sure things are moving. It gets hectic, especially when several things happen at once. People in the area know where to find me if they need a hand with a project. I don't use a lot of big words or fancy presentations. I just tell it like it is. If a wall needs to go up, we figure out the best way to do it. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but seeing a building actually take shape is a good feeling. I've been doing this for a while now and plan to keep going. The office stays pretty busy even when I am out at a site.
