Baskin Robbins

Our Baskin Robbins shop is tucked away in Shivaji Nagar Nofra, Colaba 9. It’s a small corner of the world, but we like it here. Being in Colaba 9 means we get a lot of salt air from the sea and a lot of people walking by on their day off. We spend our time scooping ice cream into cups and cones. The floor gets a bit messy with drips, so we are always mopping it up. The freezer makes a constant humming sound that we’ve grown used to over the years. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit inside, so most people just grab their treat and head back out to the street. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when a big group comes in all at once, but we just take it one scoop at a time. We don't use any polished language to talk about our shop. It’s just a place to get something sweet. We have our regulars who come in every week for the same flavor. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to tell people we’re out of their favorite, which is never fun. But mostly, it’s just a steady routine of serving ice cream and keeping the place clean. We’ve been in Shivaji Nagar Nofra for a while and we plan to stay. It’s a decent job and we like the people who stop by.
