Baskin Robbins

Our shop is at 80 Feet Road 1 in Aundh. It’s a nice spot on a wide road with plenty of trees nearby. We have the usual bright pink and blue colors inside that everyone recognizes. The freezers are filled with a lot of different tubs, and we have to keep the lids closed tight so things don't melt. There is a small area for people to sit, but on weekends it fills up pretty fast and people end up standing outside. We spend the day dipping spoons into water and then into the ice cream. It can get a bit tiring on the wrists after a long shift. Aundh is a bit more upscale, so we see a lot of people out for an evening walk or coming from the nearby restaurants. The glass doors need cleaning almost every hour because of the fingerprints. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and our personal things. It’s not a very complicated business, just keeping the temperature right and serving the scoops. Sometimes the register acts up and we have to figure it out while a line is forming. We don't have any big speeches or plans, we just show up, put on our uniforms, and start the day. The lights are bright and the floor is white, so we have to stay on top of the cleaning to keep it looking okay.
