We've been over here at Deccan Gymkhana for quite a while now. Narayan Smruti is where we keep our main office. It’s a busy spot in Pune, and most people around here know the street well. We deal with buildings and land stuff. My dad started things off and now we just keep it going as a family thing. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, but we like being in this part of town. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and we spend all day just going through blueprints or talking to people about where they want to live. Building things takes a lot of time and there are always small problems to solve on the sites. We aren't doing anything fancy or trying to change the world. We just make sure the walls are straight and the roofs don't leak. If you walk past the building, you'll see our sign. It’s a bit old but it does the job. Pune has changed a lot since we first opened these doors. There are more cars now and everything feels faster. But inside our office, it’s mostly the same. We drink a lot of tea and look at maps of the city. We have a few guys working in the back handling the accounts and some others out on the sites making sure the concrete is poured right. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
