Arya General Stores

The shop here at 26, Guruwar Peth has been part of Shitaladevi Chowk for quite some time now. We usually get things started early in the morning because the area around Pune gets busy fast. Arya General Stores isn't a fancy place, just a regular spot where you find what you need for the house. Most days are spent checking what's low on the shelves and making sure the crates are moved out of the way so people can walk. Being in Pune - 411042 means there is always noise from the street, but you get used to it. Sometimes the delivery trucks take a while to navigate the chowk, which can be a bit of a headache. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure the items are priced and put away. It’s mostly about keeping the daily things in stock like soap or snacks. You see the same faces every day, neighbors mostly. We try to keep things organized but it gets a bit cluttered when new stock arrives on Tuesdays. That’s just how it is here. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, right by Shitaladevi Chowk. It’s a practical place for practical people. No one puts on airs here. We just focus on the work at hand and making sure the shop is open when people expect it to be.
