Armament Research Development Establishment

Our group works over on Doctor Omi Bhawa Road. It’s a pretty specific type of place, and we’ve been here for a good long while now. The name Armament Research Development Establishment sounds quite formal, but inside, it’s just a bunch of people who are really into the technical side of things. We spend most of our hours looking at designs and trying to figure out how to make things work better. The road outside is usually busy, but once you get inside the building, it gets much quieter. We have different rooms for different tasks, and there’s always someone working on a project late into the evening. It isn't a retail shop where people just walk in off the street, so it feels more like a workshop or a lab. We deal with a lot of complicated stuff, and sometimes things don't go according to plan on the first try. That’s just part of the process when you're trying to build something new. We have old desks and lots of equipment that has been here for years. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it works for what we need. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know how each person handles their part of the job. It’s steady work and it keeps our brains busy. We don’t really talk much about ourselves to outsiders, we just focus on the projects at hand.
