Arizona Ice Cream Parlour

Arizona Ice Cream Parlour has been at 1273 Gandhi Road in Sadashiv Peth for quite some time now. Being in the Peth area means the roads are narrow and parking is always a nightmare, but people still manage to find their way to us. The shop is small, and the big freezers take up most of the space, making a constant humming sound that we don't even notice anymore after all these years. We have a few small stools for people to sit on, but most folks just stand outside on the pavement while they eat their scoops. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot, and we are constantly worried about the power going out because the ice cream would melt in no time. We’ve had a few close calls with the old wiring in this building, but so far, we’ve been lucky. The walls are decorated with some old posters that have faded over the years, giving the place a bit of an accidental vintage look. We don't have any fancy marketing or social media stuff; we just rely on people walking by and the fact that we've been here long enough that everyone knows where we are. It’s a family-run thing, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting near the entrance reading a newspaper when it’s quiet. We just keep the freezers running and try to stay cool ourselves during those long, humid afternoons. It is a simple job for us anyway.
