If you head over to the Indraprasta Complex in Rasta Peth, you will find us at Shop No 29. It is a big building, and it can be a bit of a maze if you're not used to it. Anjali Saree is packed floor to ceiling with stock. We have shelves everywhere. I try to keep the sarees organized by color, but by the end of a busy Saturday, everything is in a bit of a mess. Rasta Peth is an old part of Pune. The streets are narrow and the traffic is constant. I spend a lot of time folding and unfolding fabric. The lights in the shop are bright so people can see the thread work clearly. We have a small stool for customers to sit on while they look at the different materials. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the counter, getting cold because I got busy. The floor is tiled but has a few cracks near the entrance. I have been meaning to get those fixed for months. It is just me and one other person here most days. We don't do much advertising. People find us because their mothers or aunts told them about the shop. It is a practical business. We keep the inventory moving and try to stay out of the heat. The complex gets quite crowded during the festival seasons. That is when it is the most fun, even if it is exhausting.
