Anand Stores

Our shop, Anand Stores, is located at 17 Chinchwad Telco Road, right inside the Prestige Complex. We are directly opposite the MIDC office, so we see a lot of people coming and going for work throughout the day. The shop is usually packed with all sorts of things, from snacks and drinks to basic household items. We try to keep the shelves organized, but it gets a bit messy when we get new stock in on Tuesdays. My brother and I run the place most of the time. We know which neighbors like which brand of tea and who always forgets to bring their own cloth bag. The area around Telco Road is always noisy with trucks and cars, but inside the complex, it is a bit quieter. We open up early because the workers nearby need things before their shifts start. Sometimes the old fridge makes a weird humming noise, but it keeps the drinks cold, so we do not worry too much about it. It is a decent sized space, but it feels small when three or four people are standing at the counter at once. We have seen many shops in the Prestige Complex come and go over the years, but we have managed to stay put. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just stop by on their way home. It is a practical way to earn a living, and we like being part of the Chinchwad community.
