Amul Ice Creams Parlour

We are sitting here in Shop No 3 at Shivsakti Complex, right off Mandpeshwar Road in Baner. It’s a busy little corner of Himmat Nagar and most days you’ll find one of us behind the counter. The freezer hums all day long which is just part of the background noise now. People from the offices nearby walk over when it gets hot in the afternoon. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass and restocking the cones. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to shuffle things around in the back to make space. It’s not a very big shop, just enough room for the display and a few people to stand while they pick what they want. We see the same faces every week, mostly families from around the neighborhood. The tiles are a bit worn from all the walking but that's how it goes. Sometimes a kid drops their scoop and we have to get the mop out quickly. We keep the lights on late because this part of Baner stays active. There is always some traffic noise from the main road filtering in. It's just a simple place where we keep the ice cream cold and serve it up in cups or cones. We don't have much fancy decor, just the posters on the wall and the freezer units. It gets a bit crowded on Sunday nights but we manage to get everyone their orders eventually.
