Amruteshwar Hotel

We are located over in the Shah Industrial Estate in Vadgaon Budruk. It’s right off Veera Desai Road at 15/2/A. Most of our customers are folks working in the nearby factories or people driving trucks through the estate. We start the tea and the kitchen very early because that’s when the shifts change. The building is an older one and we’ve had to fix the roof a few times, but it stays cool enough inside. We serve basic meals and tea throughout the day. There is no menu printed on fancy paper, just what we have ready on the stove. My wife handles the cooking and I take care of the tables and the billing. It’s not the kind of place you come for a fancy date, but the food is hot and the chairs are sturdy. We have a lot of regulars who come in every single morning for their breakfast. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor. We don't have air conditioning, just a few big fans on the ceiling that hum all day. It’s a busy life but it keeps us moving. We don't do much talking, just keep the plates moving and make sure everyone gets their fill before they head back to work. It’s just a plain hotel for working people.
