We are based in Sangavi, specifically at the 9th Cross in Shop 8. Our place is inside the Radha Raman Complex, which is right at Krishna Chowk. If you know the area, Krishna Chowk is always busy. Amrut Dairy opens very early in the morning, usually while it is still dark outside. We have to be ready when the milk vans arrive. The floor is usually wet from cleaning the crates and the fridge area. It is a small shop, but we make use of every inch of space. We have the milk bags, the curd, and some other dairy items stacked up. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way to work or after dropping their kids at school. You can hear the hum of the big coolers all day long. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when three or four people come in at once. The Radha Raman Complex has a few other shops too, so there is always someone around to chat with. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things get quiet for a few minutes. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to worry about the temperature, but mostly things run okay. We have been at this Sangavi spot for a while now. It is just a local dairy shop where we know most of our customers by their names or what they usually buy every morning.
