Abhinav Sangit Vidya Mandir

If you look for Room No 66 in Block No 3 of the Pmc Colony in Shivaji Nagar, you will find us. We are Abhinav Sangit Vidya Mandir. It is a quiet corner where we spend our time with music. The room is not very large, so things can feel a bit cramped when we have the instruments out. We have been here in this colony for a long time now. The walls are thin, so the neighbors probably hear a lot of singing and practice throughout the day. We try to be mindful of that. It’s just a simple room with some mats on the floor and a few chairs for the older folks. There is nothing fancy about the entrance or the way things look inside. We just focus on the notes and the practice. Most of the people who come by are kids from the nearby blocks or adults who want to learn something after work. Shivaji Nagar is a busy place, but our little room in the Pmc Colony feels different once the music starts. It takes some time to find the exact block if you aren't from around here, but most locals can point you toward Room 66. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the music and like to share it with whoever walks through the door. It’s a very local, small-scale thing we have going on here.
