Aaryan Dance Academy

We are located on Old Chhani Road, right in the Akurdi industrial estate area at number 66. It’s an interesting spot for a dance academy because there are so many workshops and factories around. You wouldn’t expect to hear music coming from this building, but we’re here. The floor is the most important part of our space, so we spent a lot of time getting it smooth. Aaryan Dance Academy is where we spend our evenings. When the sun goes down and the industrial area gets a bit quieter, the kids start showing up. We have some big mirrors that we have to wipe down every single day because of the dust from the road. It’s not a polished studio like you see on TV. We have some fans that don't always stop the sweat, but that’s part of the work. Sometimes the music is so loud it bounces off the metal roofs nearby. We teach all sorts of moves, mostly just trying to get people to find their rhythm. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but the energy is good once everyone starts moving. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who love to dance and some local kids who want to learn something new after school. It keeps the neighborhood lively despite all the factories nearby.
