Aamby Valley City

Aamby Valley City is situated out by Ambavane, near Lonavala. It’s a massive place, so it’s not like your usual office address. To get here, you have to drive up through the hills, and it can be quite a trip, especially during the monsoon when the fog rolls in. We are basically a whole community tucked away in the mountains. There are houses, roads, and lots of open green spaces that we have to look after every day. It’s a big job and there are a lot of us working behind the scenes to keep the water running and the lights on. It’s very different from working in a city like Pune or Mumbai because everything is so spread out. You spend a lot of time outdoors or driving between different sections of the property. It’s a quiet life compared to the urban chaos. People come here to get some peace, and our job is to make sure the environment stays that way. We don't really have a traditional story because the place kind of speaks for itself once you see the lakes and the hills. We’re just the staff and residents who make this place function day to day. It’s a unique spot, and living and working here feels like being in a different world sometimes. The weather changes fast, and you never know when you'll see some wildlife or just a beautiful sunset over the valley.
