Great Mission Public School

This school is tucked into a few different building numbers like 37A/1 and 218 B/1A over in Jayantipur. We are right by the Ncr Railway Colony in Allahabad, so you can often hear the trains nearby. It’s a noisy part of town, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We have been running things here in Saket Nagar for a while now. The address looks a bit confusing on paper with all the different sections like Sulemsarai and Dhoomanganj, but once you find the gate, it makes sense. Our classrooms are filled with desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We teach children from the neighborhood and from the families who work for the railway. It’s a practical place. We don't have big fancy gardens, just enough space for the kids to run around during their break time. The teachers here are local people who know the families. Sometimes we have to deal with dusty roads or the usual traffic in Ghumanganj when school lets out. Every morning is the same routine with the assembly and then everyone heading to their rooms. We keep a close eye on the kids and make sure they are doing their work. It is just a regular school where we try to get through the lessons without too much trouble. Allahabad is a big city, but our little corner here feels like its own small world every day.
