Bal Bharti School

We are right on 13, Kamla Nehru Road in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad. This is an old part of the city with a lot of history and big trees lining the streets. Our building has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. You can find us easily because we are near the main landmarks of Civil Lines. The mornings here are actually quite nice because the road isn't too loud yet. We open the main gate at 13 Kamla Nehru Road every morning and start the day by checking the registers. The school has an old-fashioned feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that help with the Allahabad heat. We don’t have a fancy reception area, just a desk and some chairs for visitors. Most of the staff have been working here for decades, and we know many of the families in the area by name. Our day is mostly taken up by the usual routine of classes, lunch breaks, and office work. We don't use much in the way of high-tech systems; we still prefer our paper ledgers and hand-written notes for many things. It’s a practical place where the focus is just on the daily lessons. When the sun starts to set over Civil Lines, we wrap up the administrative work and close the heavy doors. It’s a quiet end to a busy day in a very traditional part of town.
