We are based over at The Park Hotel, right on Beach Road in Vishakapatnam. Specifically, this is where the food and beverage production happens, and Sarfaraj is the one looking after that side of things. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to the water. You can often hear the ocean and the traffic from the road while we are working in the back. The kitchen and production areas are where most of the action is. We spend our hours preparing things and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. It’s a lot of physical work, moving crates and checking the stock in the pantry. We don't really see the guests much from where we are stationed. It’s more about the behind-the-scenes stuff that keeps the place running. The heat in the kitchen can get pretty intense during the summer months in Vizag, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve got a routine that starts early in the morning before the sun is even fully up. There’s no fancy office for us, just the production floor and the storage rooms. We focus on the daily tasks and try to stay ahead of the orders. It’s a loud, fast-paced environment with a lot of clatter and shouting across the room. We aren't here to look pretty; we're here to get the food and drinks ready. It’s just how things go at this end of Beach Road. Working by the coast has its challenges, but we get on with it.
