You’ll find us in Naya Bazar, right in the Dalpatti area of Lakhisarai. We are easy to spot because we are directly in front of the Bharat Transport Agency. It’s Ward 26, if you’re looking at the local municipal maps. The market is always crowded, especially on the days when the big shipments of grain and other stuff come in. We’ve got a small storefront where we handle our daily business. It’s not very large, but it fits everything we need for now. The smell of the market—spices and exhaust—is always in the air here. We open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high and makes everything too hot. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We don't have a big sign with lights, just a painted one that’s faded a bit over the years. We handle whatever comes our way, mostly dealing with the locals and the transport guys across the street. Sometimes we sit out front on wooden stools when it’s not too dusty and just watch people go by. The business has its ups and downs depending on the harvest and the local trade. We don't use computers for everything; the big blue books are where all the records go. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us in Bihar. If you need anything, you just walk in and ask.
