Hotel Chanakya

Our place is located on Road No 6/C/8 in the R Block area of Patna. It's a very busy part of town with lots of traffic and people moving around for government work or various meetings at the offices nearby. We have rooms for whoever needs a place to sleep for a night or two while they are passing through the city. The building has been here for some time and it shows its age a bit if you look closely at the walls, but we try to keep it clean for the guests. You'll see us around the lobby most of the day, checking people in and making sure they have what they need like fresh towels or a bottle of water. Sometimes the street outside gets really noisy with the car horns and the rickshaws passing by, but that is just how it is in this part of Patna. We don't have a big fancy lobby with marble everywhere or expensive rugs, just a simple counter and some plastic chairs for waiting. Most of our guests are here for work and they leave early in the morning and come back quite late. We know all the local shops around here if anyone asks where to get a good cup of tea or a quick bite of food. It's a straightforward operation. We just manage the rooms and talk to the people who stay with us. There isn't much more to it than that. It feels like a normal house sometimes because we see the same people coming back every few months when they are in town.
