This is the Hotel Patlipura Ashok, located right on Beer Chand Patel Path here in Patna. It has been a landmark in this part of town for a very long time. It is part of the ITDC group, which most people know better as the Ashok Group. We are situated in a spot that is pretty central, so we get all kinds of people coming through the doors—government officials, families traveling for vacation, and people here for big weddings. The building has that older style that you don’t see much of in the newer developments. It has plenty of rooms and some big halls for events that stay busy most of the year. Working here means you see something different every day. Some days are loud with a big party going on, and other days it is just regular business travelers coming and going. We have our regulars who have been coming here for decades because they like the familiar feel of the place. It is not one of those new, glass-and-steel buildings; it has a bit of history to it. You will find us right near the main road. The staff here has been around a long time too. We just focus on keeping the rooms ready and making sure the kitchen is running.
