Our office for Tata Aig Life Insurance Co. Ltd is in a bit of a funny spot in Patna. We are right by S.K. Fast Food Joints, just opposite the Uma Cinema. It’s a lively area, and you can usually smell the food from downstairs when the lunch rush starts. Being in Bihar 800003 means there’s always something going on outside our windows. We handle life insurance, which sounds serious because it is, but we’re just regular people working at desks. Most of our day is spent talking to people about their policies or filing paperwork. The office isn't very large, and it can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of visitors. We’ve got a few old fans that hum while we work. It’s not like the big glass buildings you see on TV; it’s a practical space for a practical job. We’ve been across from Uma Cinema for a while, so we use it as a landmark when people call for directions. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit much, but you get used to it. We try to be helpful without making things too complicated. We’re just a small part of the bigger company, doing our bit here in Patna. It’s a steady job, and we know our neighbors at the fast food place pretty well by now. We just keep our files in order and hope the power stays on all afternoon.
