Royal Orchid (Tours&Plans)Visakhapatnam

Royal Orchid is basically just us working out of Allipuram on Jailroad. The address is a bit of a mouthful, but once you find Dno: 31-1-33, you’re in the right place. Shyam Kishore Gantyada runs things here. We spend our days putting together tours and travel plans for people who want to see the area or go further out. Visakhapatnam has some nice spots, so we stay fairly busy. The office is right in the heart of the city, so it’s never really quiet. You can hear the bikes and cars outside all day long. It's a local feel here, not like those big travel agencies you see in malls. We know the roads and the best times to avoid the crowds. Sometimes a plan doesn't go perfect because a bus is late or a hotel changes something last minute, and we have to scramble to fix it. That's just part of the job. We keep a lot of maps and brochures around, though most things are digital now. It’s a small space, but it’s ours. We usually have some tea going and someone is always talking on the phone to a driver or a guest. We don't use big words or try to act like we're something we're not. We just know the travel business around here and we help people get where they need to go. It’s a practical way to earn a living in Vizag. We've been here for years.
