Navin Hair Cutting Salloon is located on Daldali Road in the Salimpur Ahara area of Patna. If you know where Uma Cinema used to be, we are right near there. It is a very old part of the city and the lanes are always full of people and rickshaws. We have been cutting hair here for a long time. The shop is small and we have the usual chairs and mirrors you see in any local barber shop. Most of our customers are men from the nearby houses who have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children here. We do basic haircuts and shaves. It gets quite hot in the summer because the road is narrow and there isn't much breeze, but we have a couple of fans going all day. Sometimes people just stop by to chat about what is happening in the news or the neighborhood. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It is just a simple place on Daldali Road. Usually, mornings are quiet and then it picks up in the evening when people get off work. We try to keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean. It is a basic business, nothing special, just a place for a decent haircut. Patna has changed a lot but this corner near the old cinema feels mostly the same. We just keep doing our work year after year in this small shop.
