Meghna Beauty Parlour

This parlour is inside Savitri Complex on Boring Road. If you know Patna, you know Boring Road is where everything happens. We are near Jamuna Apartment, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. The complex has many shops, and we are tucked in one corner. 800001 is the zip code. I started Meghna Beauty Parlour because I wanted to work near where I grew up. It’s not a big fancy salon with leather chairs. We have plastic ones and some old mirrors that have seen better days. It gets dusty because of the construction on the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass. Boring Road is always full of traffic, so you can hear the horns honking while you get your hair done. It’s part of the atmosphere, I guess. We do regular stuff like facials and hair cuts. Nothing too complicated. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us chai in the afternoon. It’s a small community in the complex. Everyone knows everyone. We’ve had the same customers for years now. They come in and tell us about their kids or their jobs. It’s more of a social thing than just a business. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but it still says our name clearly enough for people to see when they walk by Savitri Complex.
