We are up on the 2nd Floor of Kamal Cottage. It’s on Dadiji Sweet Lane, which is off Boring Road in Patna. Our address is 800001. If you look across the street, you’ll see Shalimar Studio. We’ve been here for a while now. Being on the second floor means you have to walk up some narrow stairs, but it’s a bit quieter up here away from the street noise. The salon has a few different sections for hair and spa stuff. We tried to make it look nice with some pictures on the walls. It’s not a huge space, but we have enough room for a few people at once. Dadiji Sweet Lane is a famous spot because of the sweets, so it’s usually busy. We get a mix of people coming in. Some are students from the nearby colleges and some are older ladies who live in the area. We just do our work and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the backup battery, which only runs the lights. It can get a bit stuffy then, but we open the windows. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just a place to get your hair done or relax for an hour. We’ve known the owners of Kamal Cottage for a long time. It feels like a solid place to be.
