About Mangla Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Patna
It is usually quite dusty here at our spot in Village Dinara. If you come by Bikramganj, you will probably see the tall chimney from the road. We spend most of our days dealing with mud and fire. That is just how it goes when you make bricks. The workers are here early, often before the sun gets too high because once it gets hot, the work feels twice as heavy. We have been in this same spot for a while now. The seasons really dictate how things move. When the monsoon hits, everything pretty much stops. You cannot dry bricks in the rain, so we just wait it out and fix the equipment. It is not a fancy business. Our hands are always dirty and the yard is full of stacks that need to go out. Local drivers come by with their tractors and we help them load up. Sometimes the tally is wrong and we have to recount everything, which is a pain, but that is part of the job. We know most people around here by their first names. It is a quiet life in Dinara for the most part, except for the sound of the kiln and the occasional truck backing up. We just keep our heads down and get the batches done. There is always another pile of clay waiting to be shaped. That is just the way it is.
