Brinda Bricks

If you take the train to Hardas Bigha Railway Station in Fatuha, we are just a short trip away in Jagmal Bigha. The sound of the trains passing by is something we’ve gotten used to over the years. We spend our days working with the soil here to produce bricks. It’s a rhythm we’ve fallen into—mixing, molding, and burning. The area of Fatuha is quite traditional, and we fit right into that. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a local operation run by people who live nearby. The yard gets pretty muddy when it rains, and that can slow things down, but we manage to keep moving. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to supply the local builders with what they need for their houses and walls. You’ll find us at the site most days, usually covered in some amount of dust or mud. It’s honest work, and it keeps food on the table for the families involved. We know the land here well, and we know which clay works best for the bricks. People from the surrounding villages often stop by to check on their orders or just to see how much we have ready. We don't have a fancy reception area, just a place where we sit down and talk about what's needed for the next build. It's a quiet life out here by the tracks, and we focus on one brick at a time.
