Our place is actually a rental flat in the Housing Colony at Kankarbagh. It’s numbered 287 and 248. It’s a bit different because we aren’t in a big commercial mall or anything like that. We are tucked away in a residential area, very close to the auto stand. Being near the auto stand means there is always a bit of a crowd and noise nearby. It’s a convenient spot for us though. The office is basically just a few rooms converted so we can work on travel bookings. It feels more like a home than a business office, which is fine by us. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know who we are. We don’t spend money on big advertisements or fancy decorations. There are some old maps on the wall and a lot of notebooks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking things on the laptop. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when more than two people visit at once, but we manage. Most of the folks who come to us are looking for something a bit more comfortable for their trips. We aren’t a huge chain. It is just a small local setup. We know the shortcuts around the colony and where to get good snacks in the afternoon. It’s a simple life running a travel business from a housing colony flat. We mostly just drink our tea and get through the list of tasks we have for the day.
