We’ve been working out of House No. 6 in the Mitra Compound for a while now. If you know Boring Road in Patna, you know how crowded it gets, especially right behind Alankar Place. It’s a bit of a maze getting here sometimes with all the rickshaws and people moving about. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we handle things for Jet Lite. Most days the fan just hums in the corner and we try to keep the dust off the desks. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until the generator kicks in or the lights come back on. It’s mostly just us doing our daily tasks and making sure things get filed right. There is a tea stall just a few steps away where we usually go around four o'clock. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get inside the compound, away from the main road noise. We have a few chairs for visitors, but mostly it's just desks and computers and stacks of paper. It feels like a home because it basically is part of a house. People in the neighborhood know us by now. It’s just how things are here in this part of Patna. We just come in, do the work, and go home when the sun sets.
