Indian Railway

You can find us in the Kankerbagh area of Patna, specifically at 404D in the Vrindavan Apartment complex. This is in Malahi Pakdi, Phase II. It is an office for the Indian Railway, but it is located inside a residential building. We occupy one of the flats on the fourth floor. It is a busy place with people coming in and out to submit forms or check on their service records. We have a lot of paper everywhere because the railway still uses a lot of physical files. There are rows of metal cupboards filled with documents from years ago. The air in the office usually smells like old paper and ink. We have several desks squeezed into the living area of the flat. It is not a modern office by any means. We use old fans and the furniture is quite worn out. From our window, you can see the other buildings in the complex. Patna heat can be quite intense, so we try to keep the curtains drawn. Our work is very specific and follows a lot of rules. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and dates. It is a slow process sometimes, but that is just how the system works. We have our tea breaks at the same time every day. It is a steady job and we just do what is expected of us.
