Indian Navy

Our location for the Indian Navy is in Visakhapatnam, specifically at Plot No. 11 in the Ex-Service-Men Colony in Malkapuram. It is a quiet kind of place. You see a lot of people who used to be in the service walking around the neighborhood. The office itself is not very large. It is basically a practical space where we manage the local affairs and paperwork. We have been at this address for quite some time now. Being in Vizag, the weather is almost always humid, so we usually have the windows shut and the fans going. It is not like the big offices you see in movies. There are just stacks of files and a few computers. We spend our time talking to people who come by with questions about their service records or other navy matters. It is a lot of talking and a lot of typing. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a functional office for the navy community here in the Malkapuram area. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and we just have to deal with it. People come in, we find what they need, and they go on their way. It is honest, everyday work for the staff here. We like the quiet of the colony compared to the main city center. It feels more like a community spot than a government building.
