Happy Journey

Happy Journey is up on the third floor of Steel House. It’s right on Boring Road, which is always a mess of cars and rickshaws every single day. We are right above the Andhra Bank, so that’s usually how people find us. If you see Jamuna Apartment, you’re in the right place. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs if the lift is acting up, which happens more than I’d like to admit. We deal with travel stuff mostly. People come in wanting to go somewhere else, which is funny when you think about it. We sit here in Patna and talk about other cities far away. The office is small but it has windows that look out onto the street. You can see everyone rushing around down there while we work. We’ve been in Steel House for a good bit now. It’s a solid building, hence the name, I guess. We don’t do anything fancy. No big advertisements or anything. Just some maps and papers on the desks. Sometimes it gets hot in the afternoons, but the fan works okay for us. We just help people get their tickets and figure out where they’re staying. It’s a lot of phone calls and typing. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby apartments. It’s a local thing. We know the neighbors. We aren't some giant corporation. Just a few of us here trying to make sure people get where they need to go without too much trouble.
