Frontline Institute

You can find us right in Nayatola. We are sitting just opposite the P.N. Anglo School, which is a big landmark around here in Patna. Most of the people working here have lived in this area for years. We aren't trying to change the world, just helping students get through their exams. The building is a bit older, but it stays cool enough in the summer. Patna can get really hot, so that matters. We spend most of our time at the desks, going over notes. Sometimes the tea stall nearby is where we take a break. It's a regular routine. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the students to show up. Some of them come from quite far away. Nayatola is always crowded, so getting here can be a bit of a trip. We see a lot of faces coming and going. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just keep going with the windows open. It’s just how things are here. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just us and the books. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many papers around, it’s a bit of a struggle. That’s okay, though. As long as the teaching happens, the rest doesn't matter too much. We focus on the work because that is what parents expect.
