East & West School

You can find East & West School down Dadiji Sweet Lane, which is just off Boring Road in Patna. If you know Patna, you know Boring Road is one of the busiest places around, so finding us in the lane is a bit of a relief from the main road noise. The lane itself is narrow, and things can get pretty cramped when school lets out at the end of the day. We’ve been operating from this 800001 address for quite a while now. The school is housed in a typical Patna building, nothing too flashy or modern at all. We have several floors of classrooms, and the stairs are always busy with kids going up and down between periods. Since we are in such a central location, we get students from various parts of the city. We spend our time teaching the standard syllabus and trying to keep some order in the hallways. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially during parent-teacher meetings when everyone tries to park their scooters in the lane. We don’t have much in the way of a playground, so the kids mostly hang out in the common areas or the classrooms during their breaks. It’s a very practical, city-style school. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the students are learning something useful every day without too much distraction from the city noise.
