Civil Aviation Department, Govt Of Bihar

This is the office for the Civil Aviation Department here in Patna. We are part of the Bihar government. Our work is mostly about managing the local aviation matters and keeping track of the regulations that apply to this region. It’s a government office, so you can imagine there are a lot of files and official stamps. We work in an older building in the 800001 zip code area. It has high ceilings and a lot of wooden desks that have been here for years. We spend our days going through reports and attending to administrative tasks. It isn't a fast-paced environment like a private company would be. Things take time here. We have to follow all the rules and procedures correctly. Sometimes people come in with questions about permits or local flight rules and we do our best to find the right paperwork for them. The office gets a bit dusty with all the old paper files stored in the back. We have tea breaks together in the afternoon. Most of the staff has been working for the government for a long time. It’s a steady job. Outside, the city is busy, but inside it’s usually just the sound of fans and people talking about the latest memos. We don’t do anything flashy or modern. We just maintain the records and make sure the department is functioning as it should according to the state guidelines. It's just a regular government office.
