B D College

Mithapur is a busy part of Patna, and B D College is right in the thick of it. The area is always crowded with people, rickshaws, and students. Our college is a bit of a landmark around here. The building is old and has that specific smell of old paper and dust. We have a lot of students coming from all over the city and even from the outskirts. It’s a big place, so managing the daily crowd is always a task. The staff works out of small offices that are usually overflowing with files. We don’t have air conditioning in most rooms, so the ceiling fans are always going full blast during the Patna summers. It gets hot, and everyone just moves a bit slower then. We spend our time checking registrations and making sure the classes are actually happening. It's a practical environment. There’s no fluff here. We see the same tea stalls outside the gate doing a lot of business with our students. The walls are covered in old posters and notices. It’s a bit of a chaotic place, but there’s a system to it that only those of us who work here really understand. We’ve seen the neighborhood change as the city grows, but the college stays pretty much the same. It’s a place for work and study, without any of the fancy trimmings you see in newer buildings. We are just here doing our jobs.
