Apeejay Surinder Group

The office for Apeejay Surinder Group is right on Beach Road here in Visakhapatnam. Being inside The Park Hotel building means we get that sea breeze whenever we step outside, which is really nice when the humidity gets high. Vizag is a pretty city, but it gets very busy on this stretch of road during the evenings. We have our desks set up and we spend our hours doing whatever needs to be done. It’s not a complicated life. We see the tourists and locals walking along the beach while we are coming in for our shifts. Some of us have been with the group for quite a few years, while others are newer faces just starting out. We don’t really go in for those big speeches about what we do or why we do it. We just show up at the address, answer the phones, and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the elevators are slow, or the lobby gets crowded with a big wedding party, but we just keep our heads down and work. The view of the water is probably the best part of being stationed here in Andhra Pradesh. It makes the long afternoons a bit easier to handle. We have our routine. Coffee in the morning, lunch from a local tiffin service, and then finishing up as the sun starts to go down over the coast. It is just a regular workplace where people try to do a decent job every day without any fuss.
