Tapodhan Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at House Number 001 in Sirpur. This is a small village in the Palam taluka, and we have been here for quite some time. The office is just a simple room at the front of the house where we keep all our farming documents and seeds. We started this company because the farmers around Sirpur needed a way to buy things like fertilizers and pesticides without having to travel so far every time. It is a local effort through and through. Most of us are out in the fields from early morning, so the office usually gets busy in the afternoons. We sit around and talk about the soy or the cotton, depending on what season it is. There is no air conditioning or fancy furniture here. We have a few wooden chairs and a table that has seen better days. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just finish our work by the light of the door. We are not experts in marketing or corporate stuff. We are just people who know how to grow things and want to make sure we do not get cheated at the big markets. It takes a lot of time to organize everyone, and sometimes we disagree on things, but we always work it out.
