Riddhieshree Farmers Producer Companylimited is really just a bunch of local folks who decided to pool our resources. Parbhani is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, especially when it comes to what’s growing in the fields. We spent a long time thinking about starting this company before we actually did it. The office at Vg is where we keep our ledger and meet up after the sun goes down. Farming around here is a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We aren't some big corporate office from the city with suits and ties. Most of the time, we have mud on our boots when we are sitting at the desk. We started this producer company to help each other out with the selling and the buying of things we need for the farm. It feels better to work as a group than to try and fight the market alone. Some days the heat in Parbhani is enough to make you want to stay inside, but there is always work to be done.
