Sr Yadav Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by the family of Kishanrao Yadav. We are located in Khadka Sonpeth, which is a part of the Parbhani district. It is a place where most everyone knows everyone else. We started this company because we wanted to have more control over how our crops are sold. Kishanrao’s sons and the rest of the family are all involved in one way or another. Parbhani is a good place for farming, but it has its challenges like anywhere else in Maharashtra. We do not spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Our address is just a house in the village where we handle the paperwork. Most of our time is spent out in the sun, making sure the plants are growing like they should. We have simple tools and we rely on each other to get the heavy work done. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we have known for generations. We do not use a lot of technical jargon. When we talk, it is usually about the price of diesel or when the next truck is coming to pick up the harvest. We are just a local group trying to make a go of it.
