Shubhashish Agro Producer Company Limited is basically just a bunch of us from Pimpalgaon trying to stay ahead of the bills. We are based over at Bhausaheb Digamberpeth’s place in the Palam taluka. Parbhani is known for its heat, and our fields definitely feel it during the peak months. We got together because selling as one group makes more sense than trying to fight the traders on our own. Usually, you will find us sitting on the porch talking about the cotton prices or the quality of the seeds we got this year. There is a lot of back and forth with the members, and sometimes we don't agree on everything, but that is how it goes in a small village. We don't have a big staff or anything, just a couple of us handling the books and the phone calls. The road to our place gets a bit muddy when it pours, so getting the trucks in and out is always a challenge. We mostly grow what everyone else grows around here, like soy and some pigeon peas. Life is mostly about the rhythm of the seasons and making sure our kids have a better chance than we did. We don't have any polished speeches. We just work the land and try to keep our head above water while helping the neighbors do the same. It is a simple life, but it keeps us busy from dawn till late evening. That is our reality.
