Shiv Krushak Agro Producer Companylimited is based in Devnandra village, over in Pathri. Suresh Arjunrao Kendle’s house is where we usually meet up. Parbhani and Nanded are the main areas we deal with. It’s a very rural spot, and you have to drive a bit to get to the main town. We are just a bunch of guys who grow crops and decided to form this company to help with the selling part. Farming in Devnandra is mostly about the monsoon. When the rain is good, we are all happy, but when it’s not, things get tense. We use the company to buy things in bulk, which helps keep the costs down a little bit. It is not a formal setup where people wear suits. Most of the time, we are in our work clothes, talking about the crops while we sit under a tree or in the front yard. We have had our share of failures, and we are still learning how to run a business properly. It is quite a change from just being in the fields all day. We deal with Nanded and Parbhani markets, trying to find where we can get the best rate. It’s just honest work. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to survive and keep our farms running for the next year. It takes a lot of patience to deal with all the rules.
