Shakya Farmer Producer Company is over in Bhim Nagar, Parbhani. We have our small office at Plot No. 2614. Parbhani is a place where farming is the main thing people do, and we are no different. Most of us in this company have been working the soil since we were little. We decided to come together as a producer company to make the business side of things a bit more manageable. It is hard to be just one person trying to sell a harvest. When we work together, we have a bit more strength. We are not a big, polished organization. If you come to our plot, you will see it is just a plain building where we keep our records. We don't have any marketing people or fancy logos. We just have our names and our reputation in the town. We grow what the season dictates, and we try to get the best price we can. It’s a lot of physical labor and worrying about the clouds, but it is the life we know. We are just regular people who live in Bhim Nagar. We don't use corporate language because that is not how we talk at home. We just want to do our work, look after our members, and hope for a good rain next year. It is a simple goal for a simple group of farmers.
