Sant Janai Agro Producer Company Limited

Our company is called Sant Janai Agro Producer Company Limited and we are located at House Number 257 in Navha. That is in the Palam area of Parbhani. We are a group of farmers who live right here in the village. Most of us have been working on the same plots of land that our grandfathers did. It’s a tough life sometimes because the weather in Parbhani can be very harsh. We started this company because we wanted to have a better way to buy what we need and sell what we grow. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything fancy. We just want to make sure our farms stay productive. We use the house in Navha to keep our records and meet up after the day's work is done. Usually, we just sit around and talk about the prices in the market or which crops are doing well this year. It’s very informal and we like it that way. We don't have a lot of money for big offices or marketing, so we just rely on each other. We spend most of our time out in the fields, dealing with the weeds and the water. It’s honest, manual labor that keeps us busy all year round. We are just a bunch of local guys trying to do the best we can with what we have. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up and do the work.
