Pralhadpur Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are Pralhadpur Farmers Producer Company Limited, and you can find us at Shindhubai Rama Kadam's place, house number 411 in Khandvivadi. Partur is where we do most of our business. It’s a small operation, really. We use a portion of the house for all our files and where we sit down with the farmers. It feels more like a home than an office, which is nice because people feel comfortable just dropping by. We don’t have fancy signs or a big lobby. Instead, we have a few benches outside where people sit and wait their turn. Most days are spent coordinating with the different families in Khandvivadi. We talk about what seeds are working and who has what ready for market. It gets pretty loud when everyone is talking at once over tea. The road outside can get quite dusty in the summer and very muddy when the monsoons hit, so we are always cleaning the floor. We do our best to keep the records straight, even if our handwriting isn’t always the neatest. It’s just us trying to help the local folks get a better handle on their crops. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just a solid place to work and people who know the land. It’s a long day usually, starting before the heat gets too bad, but we like being right here where the action is.
