We are in the Gangakhed area of Parbhani, which is a place where everyone knows the struggle of farming. We decided to name ourselves after Pandurang because faith is a big part of our lives out here. We aren't a corporate office with a lobby. We are just a few guys sitting in a house in Rani Sawargaon trying to figure out how to sell our crops for a better price. Most days, the house is full of mud-tracked boots and talk of the latest pests or the price of diesel. It’s a practical setup. We don't waste money on things we don't need. Every rupee we save is a rupee that goes back to the families in our group. Parbhani can be a tough place to farm, but we’ve been doing it a long time. We know the land and we know each other. That’s why this works. We don't have any polished speeches or big promises. We just want to work our fields and make sure our kids have a future here. It’s simple, honest work, and we do it together because it’s better than doing it alone. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea and don't say much at all, just thinking about the next season and hoping for good rain.
