Navsagar Krushivikas Producer Company Limited is based at the home of Shri Shivaji Sopanrao Sukre. The address is 643, Wadgaon, in the Parbhani area. We are a group of farmers who wanted to focus on Krushivikas, which basically means developing our agriculture. We don't have a big industrial park location. We just work out of Wadgaon. Parbhani is a place where farming is the main thing everyone does, so we fit right in. Shivaji’s place is where we gather to sign papers or figure out our plans for the next season. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't have a team of experts in suits. We have people who know how to drive tractors and check the moisture in the ground. We face the same problems as every other farmer in Maharashtra, like the costs of seeds and the ups and downs of the rain. We don't try to sugarcoat it. Farming is tough work. This company is just our way of trying to get a better handle on the business side of things. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or a polished image. We are just folks from Wadgaon trying to make sure our crops get to market and that we can keep our farms going for another year. It's a simple, local operation and we like it that way.
