Our company is based at Manik Bhalerao’s place in the village of Dharefal. This is in the Basmath taluka of Parbhani. We are a small group of local farmers who finally decided it was time to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing. It’s hard to get good prices for crops when you’re just one person trying to negotiate. Here in Parbhani, we grow a lot of different things, and we wanted a better way to manage all that work. We don't have a fancy building with a sign. We just use the space we have at the post Dharefal address. Most of the day is spent outside in the sun anyway. We talk about the weather, the condition of the soil, and what we’re going to plant for the next season. It’s a very hands-on job for all of us. We do our own paperwork, which is a bit of a headache sometimes, but we’re learning as we go. It’s a local operation, and we know pretty much everyone in the village. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make sure the farming stays good for us and our kids. Sometimes we have our meetings under the trees or on the front porch.
